Seek those things which are above

Today, I want to talk to you about collisions and the importance of seeking things from above. In Colossians 3:1, the apostle Paul wrote, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

Collisions happen when two or more objects come into contact with each other, and the impact can be devastating. This can happen physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Physically, collisions can cause injuries, destruction, and loss of life. Emotionally, collisions can lead to broken relationships, hurt feelings, and emotional trauma. Spiritually, collisions can lead to a separation from God and a life that is not aligned with His will.

As followers of Christ, we must remember that we are no longer of this world but are citizens of heaven. We must set our hearts on things above and seek the things that are pleasing to God. This means that we must strive to live a life that is holy and pure, avoiding the things that would lead us astray from His will.

When we seek things from above, we are placing our trust in God and allowing Him to guide us through life. We are surrendering our will to His and trusting that He will lead us to the path of righteousness. This does not mean that we will not experience collisions in life, but it does mean that we will be better equipped to handle them.

In times of collision, we must remember that we have a God who is greater than any obstacle we may face. He is our refuge and strength, and He will never leave us nor forsake us. We must seek Him with all our hearts, minds, and souls and trust that He will lead us through the storms of life.

In conclusion, let us set our hearts on things above and seek the will of God in all that we do. Let us trust in His guidance and seek His wisdom in times of collision. Remember that we are no longer of this world, but citizens of heaven, and that our ultimate goal is to please God in all that we do. May God bless us all as we seek Him with all our hearts. Amen.
